About Me

The author graduated from The University of Texas, in Austin, in 1972, after two tours in Vietnam. He managed restaurants in Florida before becoming the editor and publisher of the Alpine Avalanche, a weekly newspaper in Texas from 1972–1976.

From 1976-1977, he was the Business Development Officer for the El Paso, Texas Chamber of Commerce. Between 1978 and 1981 he worked for Independent Consultants, a Congressional Lobbying Firm in Washington DC.

He created Southwest Publications, Inc, a company that published The New Mexico Business Journal from 1981-1995, and other magazines throughout New Mexico.

He retired in 1996 and lived with his wife in Eygalières, France for a year, then, on and off over the years, in Punte del Este, Uruguay; Buenos Aires, Argentina and in various towns and cities in Spain. From 2012 to 2020, he owned and operated the Rimrock Ranch, near Pietown, New Mexico. He lives with his wife, Cathy, and their two dogs, Zor and Mikey, in Corrales NM.
